We had a massive lamb year! Lots of color and patterns, plus a pretty even split of rams to ewes - not too bad.

4/3/23 What a pair! This was Tiramisu’s first set of twins, and boy were they honkers! I ended up having to go in and pull these two, they were stubborn, and Tira was exhausted. Both lambs have stunning patterns, Gale (the brown HST), and Gene (the emsket HST), and I can’t wait to see them grow. |

Surprise, triplets… Sugar, Spice, and Everything Nice are just the sweetest little nuggets. All ewes, and all with great pet roles in their future. We’ll be retaining Everything Nice (the runt) as a little fiber ewe.

First time mom produces a stunning ewe lamb! Vienna is definitely protective over her lamb Teddie, but not excessively. Teddie is a bit shy, but will make an amazing addition to another flock.

The fabulous Rhea gave us another stunning ewe! Rutabaga is still getting used to cuddling, but she’s a natural at the show pose. Once she’s weaned, this girlie will be heading to another flock.

6/3/23 Another accidental pregnancy, Andromeda is retired because she had severe mastitis however that doesn’t mean she isn’t a fab mother. We have to bottle feed these twin boys since her udder is nearly all shut off. She bonded with them perfectly, and they got some colostrum from her working side, so they are staying with her all the way to “weaning”! Normally bottle fed babies are fully separated from their moms, but I don’t feel that was necessary for these guys. Keep them together at all costs is my motto. :) Lil guy is the grey katmoget Lil dude is the emsket/shaela (fading) |
